Company Profile
Under a visionary management team, we have established ourselves as a manufacturer of high quality jewelry components. Our patented DaMa mechanical earring clutch for example, is second-to-none in the industry and our products are admired and used by leading jewelry manufacturers such as AAI, Avon, K&M, Liz Claiborne, Monet, Napier, 1928, QVC, Swank, Swarovski, Victoria & Co., and many more.
DaMa Jewelry Technology Inc. was established in 1981, as a result of a business relationship formed between Marcos Fountoulakis, owner of DaMa Jewelry, and Domenic Meloni, owner of Meloni Tool. The two combined their areas of expertise - Meloni in manufacturing and Fountoulakis in Sales & Marketing - to create a company which has grown to be a leading producer of high quality jewelry components for jewelry manufacturers worldwide.
DaMa's core products consist of bullet and butterfly clutches, comfort discs for earrings, earring posts and earwire. We also produce a variety of complimentary lines such as tac posts, fishhook stoppers and plating sleeves. In addition, we are able to offer other corresponding jewelry components such as our Safety Barbsô and Coconut Wiresô in order to fulfill the demands of our customers. Our diverse product line allows us to be a "One-Stop-Shop" for manufacturers seeking jewelry findings.
Since its inception, DaMa Inc. has taken advantage of the increased opportunities of global business. In order to provide the best service to our customers, we have established a global network of offices and staff positioned to help our customers increase the overall quality of their products wherever they are located. These Geographical Business Units (GBU's) are responsible for building customer relationships, promoting DaMa's products and selling! At the moment there are 6 GBU's in operation. They are located in Hong Kong, Mexico, P.R. China, Thailand and the United States..
DaMa's success is in large part due to our focus on automation and our driven sales and marketing team. Automation is the key to our competitiveness. Our automated machines reduce the need for expensive labor and allow our company to engage our employees in other areas of importance. Automation enables us to have product consistency and competitive pricing. Our strong sales and marketing team are a huge asset to us. They thrive on the philosophy of customer partnering, thereby driving us to a higher level of excellence in customer relationships. FROM I-95 NORTH: Follow I-95 North to exit 21 (Route 6 West/ Downtown Providence). Bear left for Rte. 6 West. Follow Rte. 6 to the Killingly Street Exit. Off of the exit stay to the right. Take a right onto Oakdale Avenue, which is the first right after the Shell Gas Station. DaMa is located on the right just past the stop sign, Building #25.
